The first quarter saw the Southeast Asian country import $3.079 billion worth of mobile phones and components, a 22.4 per cent increase compared to last year and the 5th largest import of the country.
Phones and components lead in Viet Nam’s export turnover in the first nine months of this year, with a value of US$38.6 billion, up 5.1 per cent y-o-y and about 19.9 per cent of total exports.
Mobile phones and electronic components had the largest share of the
total Vietnamese export revenue in the first eight months of 2014,
according to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam.
